Hypo-Pigmentation
Hypo-pigmentation is caused by a decreased level of melanin due to depletion of melanocytes or amino acid tyrosine(the acid that is used by melanocytes to produce melanin). This may be cause due to injury, illness, pimples or trauma and so the skin losses its normal color. If any injury take place the melanocytes of that area are impaired and so is its ability to produce melanin. This results in white scarring or hypo-pigmentation. It is mainly caused due to the scab which is produce to heal the injury. Over the course of few days the scab falls off and normal skin color is regained by the skin, or in seldom cases the skin does not regain its color.<< Back to Loss of Skin pigmentation
