Micro-pigmentation also known as a Tattooing can be consider as a therapy to coverup Vitiligo white patches if someone has a very long standing, stable and small Vitiligo patch. Tattooing is a process of changing the skin color by injecting artificial pigment into it. In tattooing artificial pigment is deposited into the skin with the help of traditional tattooing needles or by using surgical instrument.

Tattooing works better for darker skin. But the tattooed skin may fade and do not tan. Tattoos are a good choice for lips where no other treatments will work. But they is not recommended by most of the doctors as tattoos have a great risk of infections if proper procedures are not adopted, and the process is always painful. Vitiligo skin may not be able to hold the pigment and there can be other complication associated with it.
