Vitiligo is considered as an autoimmune disease. Tropical Corticosteroid are often used as a therapy for autoimmune disease like Vitiligo. The strength of Topical corticosteroid creams and ointments depend upon the age of the patient. It is also determined by the location and size of lesion / white patch of Vitiligo. Chronic use of potent topical corticosteroid may result in thinning of skin.
