Physical and Emotional Stress and Strain
Emotional stress and strain is also observed to be a salient denominator in vitiligo occurring in teenagers and young adults. According to the research of the 233 patients in 21-30 years of age group, emotional shock/ strains were noted in 146 (60%) patients. The occurrence of vitiligo after major illness, severe emotional strain, pregnancy, surgical operations or accidents have also been well recorded.
